Greetings, Beacon Families,

Our Kindergarten students put on a fabulous performance this past Monday night at our PTO meeting and our 5th graders’ Science projects were top-notch!  The meeting was well attended and we look forward to many more of you joining our wonderful PTO very soon.

I would like to express my gratitude to our PTO and all who donated books from our book fair for teachers' classroom library collections.  Having good literature in the classroom is very important, and each year our PTO, parents, and other donors support our teachers and students in this way!

Thank you so much for your continued support and we hope to see you all at CiCi's night tonight.

Our 4th Graders took part in a Native American Potlatch today. Storytelling, games, and great food all inspired by the Native American culture.

Our Kindergarten students were serenaded by the Valley Voices this morning. They also had an opportunity to share their singing skills with the visitors!

You can see these smiling faces on display on D Hall!

Baby Mr. Lally!

Prior to teaching at Bookman Road Elementary I was the physical education teacher down the street at Round Top Elementary for thirteen years. I spent one year working at the South Carolina Department of Education before returning to teaching and I'm excited to be a Beacon. I'm married to a fourth grade teacher and we have two dogs and a cat. In my free time I enjoy running and I'm an avid fan of Arsenal in the English Premier League for soccer. I look forward to building relationships this year with a new school school community that last for many years to come.

I'm excited to join the Bookman Road family this year. This is my tenth year teaching Physical Education. My nine previous years teaching were in Winston Salem NC. I graduated from UNCW and also competitively swam for them for four years. I have been married for ten years and have two boys. Henry is two, Brooks is four, and we have a twelve year old chocolate lab named Roland. I'm looking forward to a great year!
