Greetings, Beacon Families!

This week is American Education Week.  This is a time when we pause to celebrate and show our appreciation to all of our faculty and staff members who work so diligently with our children here at Bookman Road.  I would personally like to thank all of the educators within our school for the hard work and countless hours they spend working to make Bookman Road Elementary an outstanding and nurturing place for students to learn and grow.  Every staff member plays a crucial role in the functioning of the school, and I can’t thank them enough for what they do for our students and school community.

I would also like to sincerely thank our PTO for the hard work they put into supporting the work of the school and the planning they have done for tomorrow's Staff Appreciation Breakfast. It has been very humbling to watch as parent volunteers have gone the extra mile to bring food contributions and volunteer their time to make the staff of Bookman Road feel very much appreciated.

Thank you again, Bookman Road faculty and staff, for the role you play in the lives of Bookman Road students. Thank you for continuing to let your BEACONS shine!

Have a fabulous Friday and wonderful weekend!
Dr. Kendra Hill, Principal

Special thanks to our PTO and our Veterans who made our Veteran's Day Program a success. Thank you again for your service! If you missed the program, it was recorded live on our Facebook Page -Bookman Road Elementary School.

Who knew that using shortcuts on Chromebooks to
create turkeys could be so much fun?

While learning about government, 2nd Graders in Mrs. Smith's Class had a representative from each learning club to serve as a class presidential candidate. Their peers voted on Google Forms for the candidate that they felt represented their class well.

Richland School District Two schools are funded primarily by local taxes. Due to the large federal presence in our area our district is eligible to apply for federal Impact Aid Funds. Impact Aid is a federal program designed to assist local school districts that enroll federally connected students.  Impact Aid Program Survey Forms were distributed to all students  in Thursday's folder. Please take a few minutes and complete the form for each Bookman student in your house and return it back tomorrow. The information you provide on these forms is confidential.

Thank you for supporting Bookman and Richland 2.
