New Teacher Feature
Each week, we will feature some of our new Beacon teachers!
Hi! My name is Danielle and I am originally from Augusta, GA. I recently just got out of the Navy as a dental technician to follow my childhood dream of becoming an elementary school teacher! I attended Columbia International University and just graduated this past April. In my free time I love to travel! I have been to Germany, Italy, Spain, Sicily, Hungary, Greece, the Czech Republic, and the Bahamas. I also like to cook new recipes, which I find on Pinterest most of the time! I am looking forward to being a part of the Bookman community and providing a loving, engaging, and supportive environment in which students can learn and grow.
I am so excited to be apart of the Bookman community! I have taught several years previously in Richland Two and in Orangeburg Five. My husband and I have three boys Noah, Benji, and Levi and enjoy spending time with them within our local community. I look forward to working with Bookman families to reach, teach, and engage learners with a passion for knowledge.
The PTO Port
Parents, please look for information about becoming a homeroom parent in next week’s communication folder. If interested, return the completed form to your child’s teacher.
There are many opportunities to become involved at Bookman Road and volunteer. A PTO Volunteer Coffee will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 in the Seaside Cafe’ at 9:00 a.m. We encourage anyone interested in volunteering this year to attend the coffee to receive additional information about ways that you can help and be an integral part of your child’s school.
