Class of the Week
Mrs. Willis' Fourth Grade Class

Our class has been very busy these past nine weeks.  Students have been studying weather forecasting, native american culture, and early exploration in our units of study.  Budding mathematicians have reviewed place value, addition, subtraction, and basic multiplication and are now moving into new learning with multiplication of multidigit numbers. We are sharpening our reading and writing skills by studying and applying new “fix up” strategies in order to soar to new reading level heights.

We are All working super hard to become lifelong learners.

Class of the Week

Mrs. West's 3rd Grade Class

Mrs. West’s third grade class is excited to be “Class of the Week!”  They recently studied Native American nations from our state and even learned the themes from some of their famous legends.  They also recently kicked off their first unit in multiplication and they are excited about becoming experts on their facts.  Students also enjoy our class service:  birthday cards!  Each month, students write birthday cards for their fellow Beacons, which are presented on our morning news show.  They enjoy making others smile on their birthdays!  The children look forward to a great rest of the school year!
